Great North East Care Awards

Wednesday, November 27, 2013

Once again New Prospects was well represented at this annual event which took place at the Gateshead Hilton on Saturday 23 November. It was a glittering night with New Prospects represented in the following categories:

The Home Care Worker Award - Sean Nelson was nominated for his work with a gentleman who lives in his own home in Preston Grange

The Dignity in Care Award - Kelly Leadbitter was nominated for her work on Outreach with a lady who is seriously ill with cancer.

The Dementia Carer Award - Stephen Capstaff was nominated for his work with one of the people we support at Heaton Terrace.

The Putting People First Award - Donna Ilderton was nominated for her work with the people that live in Drumoyne Gardens and Shirley Fender was nominated for her work in helping to start up and maintain the New Prospects Social Club.

All the nominees went through a testing interview process to reach their shortlisted group. At the end of a glittering evening Stephen Capstaff left with a well deserved winner's trophy. All the other candidates were highly commended and they also have a trophy to prove it. Congratulations to them all - and a big thank you from the people whose lives are improved by their support. New Prospects is very proud that these staff, and many many others, are doing fantastic work every single day.
